0 Dollars in Adsense Revenue?

0 Dollars in Adsense Revenue?

If you are seeing 0 dollars (I mean 0 dollars without any cents) for some time in your adsense revenue... check two things.

1) Check out your publisher account number and compare it with the publisher account number of your adsense account.

How to check: If you are using a blogger, login to your account and open your blog site. Click Customize à Then click Edit Adsense. Scroll down and see the publisher number. Copy it to a notepad / WordPad. Then open your adsense account. Go to My Account. Scroll down. Look for publisher number and copy it to your notepad / WordPad.

If you use other platform, just view the source code and look for the HTML. The publisher number should be there.

Compare the two publisher numbers.

If the publisher numbers don't match, no matter how many times people click your ads nothing will change on your revenue. The 0 dollars in your adsense revenue will stay forever.

You might have several adsense accounts. Login to your other adsense accounts. Chances are the publisher account number used by your blog is taken from your other adsense accounts.

If the publisher numbers match , then it means that no one is visiting your site. Advertisement business works only when someone sees the ads. The only way for someone to see and click the ads is for them to visit your site first. You have some work to do. "Market" your blog. Bring in traffic to your blog. There are lots of articles and blogs talking about marketing your blog. Check them out. I will share some of them in my next blogs.

I remain your friend,

What is an adsense?

Here is an excerpt from
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Google AdSense is an ad serving program run by Google.
Website owners can enroll in this program to enable text, image and, more recently, video advertisements on their sites.

These ads are administered by Google and generate revenue on either a per-click or per-thousand-impressions basis.

Editor's Note:
Bottom line, the bigger is the number of site visitors viewing or clicking the
advertisements, the bigger is the payment from google.

Some webmasters work hard to maximize their own AdSense income. They do this in three ways:

1. They use a wide range of traffic generating techniques including but not limited to online advertising.
2. They build valuable content on their sites which attracts AdSense ads which pay out the most when they get clicked.
3. They use copy on their websites that encourage clicks on ads. Note that Google prohibits people from using phrases like "Click on my AdSense ads" to increase click rates. Phrases accepted are "Sponsored Links" and "Advertisements".
